Roofers celebrate Labor Day!

Labor Day marks the unofficial end of summer for most people. As it's a Monday holiday, just about everyone can enjoy a three-day weekend. During the Labor Day weekend, APD Roofing Team often takes his family on a trip. Our team enjoys getting together with friends and family for barbecues. This year, nothing is normal.

Despite the Covid-19 pandemic, we may be forced to change our Labor Day traditions, but we don't have to give up on celebrating.

The New Normal

This year, you could still hold a backyard barbecue, but you may prefer a smaller gathering. Be sure to have plenty of hand sanitizer available, so that you and your guests can stay healthy. It might be a good idea to place disposable hand towels in your guest bathroom, too.

Gatherings outdoors are much safer than gatherings indoors, so make sure you have plenty of comfortable seating available on your patio or deck for friends and family. If you can set up some of that seating in a shady area, you'll be able to keep your guests cool during the summer.

Cleaning up after your barbecue will also be a little different this year. Make sure to sanitize all surfaces inside your home that guests may have touched. Therefore, you might want to limit the areas of your home where guests can go.

Since 1894, when Congress passed a law designating the first Monday in September as a legal holiday, Labor Day has been celebrated by Americans. Labor Day was started as a way to recognize the contribution of American workers to the country's strength, prosperity, and well-being.

We would like to thank all of the workers who have made APD Roofing a success. We wish them – and you all – a very happy Labor Day!
